The steps taken to perform an exchange are:
1) Retrieve the PNR
2) Send the exchange compare request
3) record the PQR number returned
4) end and retrieve the pnr
5) send the exchange confirmation request
6) end and retrieve the pnr
7) ticket from pqr to exchange the ticket e.g. W#PQR2

3) record the PQR number returned
